Pollyanna McIntosh

Pollyanna debuted as a feature writer/director with the social horror Darlin' which premiered at SXSW in 2019 and was nominated for Best International Feature at Galway Film Fleadh as well as winning at Sitges Film Festival, playing at Edinburgh International Film Festival and many other festivals internationally before its wide release.

She went on to write and direct the horror comedy Getting Away From It All which features in the horror anthology Deathcember released by Epic Pictures in 2020 after garnering several festival awards.

Upon moving to Ireland Pollyanna read actor Siobhan Callaghan's script Quicksand about a woman in love but dealing with her hidden sex addiction and felt compelled to direct the edgy drama which will release in 2023. Since completing the film she is excited to continue making films in Ireland.

As a writer Pollyanna also co-wrote the US crime drama script Reciprocal Beat with Tomer Almagor and is co-writing the comedy horror Jumper with UK-based writer James Campbell.

As an actor Pollyanna is best known for her Series Regular role across 3 seasons of AMC's "The Walking Dead" as Jadis AKA Anne. In 2021 Jadis was brought back when Pollyanna joined as the Series Regular big bad on "The Walking Dead: World Beyond". Jadis is set to continue to feature in The Walking Dead Universe.

Her recurring and guest roles include Sundance TV's "Hap and Leonard", AMC's "Lodge 49", Netflix's "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina", BBC's "MI High" and "Bob Servant Independent" opposite Brian Cox.

Pollyanna's latest TV role is as Queen Aelfgifu in 3 seasons of Netflix's historical drama "Vikings:Valhalla" with 2 seasons so far released.

Pollyanna's diverse leading film roles include her multi-award-winning performances in The Woman; Love Eternal; Let Us Prey (opposite Liam Cunningham); Tales of Halloween; White Settlers; Revenge Ride; and Darlin'. Notable comedy film turns include Sex and Death 101 with Winona Ryder; John Landis' Burke & Hare, the Will Ferrell starrer Land of the Lost and opposite James McAvoy in the Irvine Welsh black comedy FILTH.

She will next be seen in the thriller Double Blind (dir Ian Hunt-Duffy) as Dr Burke; in the comedy Apocalypse Clown (dir George Kane) as Siobhán and in the short drama she directed Quicksand as Nola Gray.

As a voice and MOCAP actor she is best known as Shelob in Monolith Productions and Warner Bros' "Middle-earth: Shadow of War" and as Tanta Prav in "Forspoken" from Luminous Productions and Square Enix.
