Neil McRobert

Neil McRobert is a writer, critic and podcaster with a penchant for darker stories. He hosts and produces Talking Scared, a podcast of conversations with the biggest names in horror writing. He curates the "best horror books of the year list" for Esquire, and his writing can also be found in The Guardian, Elle, Vulture and New Scientist. Neil's debut novella, Good Boy, will be published in 2025 by Wild Hunt Books. Having obtained a PhD in contemporary Gothic fiction, he fled academia and now lives in a quite-yet-haunted village in the North of England, with his wife and dog, Ted.
